Renovation of the original President’s house on the Mt. San Antonio College campus, and addition of a 6,000 square foot new wing, designed to be compatible with the original Spanish Colonial architecture. Collectively, the house and addition serve as offices for the President of the college and meeting rooms for the Board of Trustees, as well as conference and dining facilities. Renovation of the National Register eligible structure included seismic strengthening and ADA improvements, as well as restoration of historic finishes and features. The new wing, which includes an enclosed courtyard event space, incorporates state-of-the-art audio-visual technology.
Founders Hall was the recipient of a 2007 Preservation Design Award from the California Preservation Foundation.
