Addition to post-World War II house for study, wine cellar, and bathroom. The interior consists of a large open volume with a pitched Douglas Fir ceiling, designed for display of owner's modern art collection. Within this high-ceiling space sits the wine cellar, bathroom and bookcase, finished in Venetian plaster and maple. On the exterior, the massing and materials echo the existing house, while the natural aluminum clerestory windows provide a hint of the modern interior within.
